Welcome to the Provincial Black Basketball Association Website. We are the proud sponsor  of the Black Invitational Basketball Tournament held yearly in the Halifax Regional Municipality of Nova Scotia.

The Provincial Black Basketball Association (PBBA), is a non-profit organization that is committed to the promotion of the game of basketball within the Black communities of Nova Scotia and across Canada at large.

The PBBA Board of Directors are pleased to announce that this years Black Invitational Basketball Tournament will celebrate it's 40th Anniversary.

The annual Black Invitational Basketball Tournament draws participants (players and spectators) from around the world and has become a major event on the African Canadian social calendar. The tournament weekend is a homecoming for many old friends and families, and allows them to enjoy the greatest basketball in the country, while celebrating the richness and strength of our community and cultural heritage.

In addition to organizing and promoting the Black Invitational Basketball Tournament, the PBBA is also involved in various charitable works. The PBBA continues to make special donations within the Black communities to local churches, youth organizations and many other groups in our community.

The Provincial Black Basketball Association, Board of Directors and sponsors of the Black Invitational Tournament are requesting your FEEDBACK. With completion of the 40th Anniversary celebration tournament, your comments are important and appreciated. The Board of Directors, feel that keeping in touch with players, participants, volunteers and members from our supporting communities will further strengthen our tournament for many years to come.

To celebrate the PBBA's 40th year Anniversary May 19th, 2012

Location: Fleet Club Atlantic, 2800 Barrington Street

Meal: Full course Buffet Dinner served at 7pm

Cost: $50.00 per person

 Entertainment: Asia & Nu Gruv plus DJ from 9 - 2am

                      Get your team ready for this years 39th PBBA Black Basketball Invitational Tournament.  This year, as well as the "A", "B", and "C" Divisions, we are including a Women's Division "D" and a Grandmaster's Division "E" (45+).  Get your rosters in early!!
